Does anyone else feel just devastated for Jordan Dakota Mefford's family and the babysitter who was caring for him? It's unimaginable to think about the weight of this tragedy from their perspectives. I can't help but feel that we need more accessible education and support around gun safety and responsible storage for families. It seems like Jesse Mefford did take steps by purchasing a safe, but maybe there needs to be more dialogue about consistent enforcement and double-checking safety measures. It's tough to see such a young life lost due to something that might have been preventable. Just sending all the love and strength to everyone affected by this incident. It's a powerful reminder for all of us to make sure any firearms are properly stored, always.
