I recently came across this case about January G. Stone on Stringtown Road, and it just struck me how much of a community-driven person she seemed to have been. Managing the Minit Mart, she must've been such a familiar face to many in Grand Rivers. I can only imagine the deep void her passing left in the neighborhood. It's truly hard to fathom how someone like Doom could have committed such an act. Just thinking about her interactions at work, and how she probably touched the lives of many customers and colleagues, makes this all the more tragic. It speaks volumes about the kind of person she was—a beacon in her community with a strong faith. My heart goes out to her family and those who knew her well. The way this town has been impacted is a poignant reminder of how violence leaves ripples far beyond the immediate loss. If anyone's local to the area or knew January personally, how have people been coping now that it's been a few years? It'd be a comfort to hear how January is being remembered and honored in Grand Rivers, especially by those who interacted with her on a daily basis.
