I've been thinking a lot about the safety of public transportation since the tragic incident with Michael Bennett. It's really alarming to think that something as terrifying as a shooting could happen on a TARC bus, a place where people should feel secure going about their daily routines. It's hard to imagine the fear other passengers felt witnessing such violence. While it absolutely makes sense to focus on bringing justice for Michael and his family, I hope this incident pushes for a thorough review of the safety measures on Louisville's public transport. We owe it to everyone to ensure they're safe while traveling. My heart truly goes out to Michael's family and friends as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. It's crucial that we learn from this and push for changes that could prevent future tragedies like this one. What do you all think could be done to improve safety on buses in our city?
