Wow, it's just so hard to wrap my head around what happened to Jerome A. Miles, Jr. and Robin O'Bryant. I can't even imagine what their families are going through. Something that's been really bothering me is the fact that Shawn Hollingsworth and Robin were former classmates in middle school. It’s chilling to think about how people you once knew and maybe even trusted could become connected to such a tragic event. Having shared a classroom, a lunch table, or maybe even a group project with Robin makes this whole situation feel even more surreal. I really hope the justice system upholds what these families are seeking, but it makes you wonder how well we really know people from our past. How does one even begin to process losing a child in such a way, especially at the hands of someone they might have known? My thoughts are with their families during this incredibly tough time.

I've been thinking a lot about the community impact following the tragic deaths of Jerome Miles and Robin O'Bryant. It's unsettling how violence has seeped into areas where young people like them should feel safe. Knowing that Shawn Hollingsworth was a former classmate of Robin's just breaks my heart; it shows how interconnected our lives are, and yet how they can go awry in such drastic ways. The Jacobs neighborhood, like many others, has become a place marked by sorrow rather than unity. I really feel for the families and friends who have had their lives turned upside down. Justice is crucial, but how can our communities move forward from this? How can we ensure that such tragedies don't repeat themselves? I hope everyone affected finds the support and strength they need.
