It’s so hard to wrap my head around this horrific situation. I didn’t know Nicole personally, but as someone who grew up in small-town Kentucky, it’s terrifying to think something this tragic could hit so close to home. I've been thinking a lot about her love for horseback riding and how it speaks volumes about who she was as a person. People who adore horses seem to have such a gentle, patient soul. I can’t even begin to imagine what her family and fellow church members at Crossroads Baptist Church are going through right now. Her connection to the community ran deep, and I wonder how those who shared hobbies with her, like photography or gardening, are processing this. It’s crucial that the community comes together to support each other during this time and remember the vibrant life Nicole led. Thankful to all the local law enforcement and first responders who are piecing together the events — they’ve got a tough job. I hope some sense of peace and justice can eventually be found. ?️
