Just reading about Kintrail Liddell's tragic passing is a stark reminder of how deeply entrenched the issues of gun violence and gangs were in Chicago back in 2012. I feel for Kintrail’s family and friends who had to navigate such a devastating loss in a city gripped by fear and uncertainty. It must have been incredibly difficult for residents in neighborhoods dealing with this surge of violence—always on edge and worried about their safety or losing a loved one. The way these systemic problems put entire communities into mourning is just devastating. We need to keep discussing the impacts of those times and advocating for the changes needed to prevent more tragedies like Kintrail's. Keeping his family and all victims in my thoughts.
