Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Bertin Garcia-Jimenez, particularly struck by how the language barrier played a role in the investigation's early stages. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for Bertin’s family to navigate through such a complex situation on top of their immense grief. It makes me think about how crucial it is for first responders to have access to resources or interpreters that can break down these barriers quickly, especially in communities as diverse as Lexington. Does anyone know if there have been any changes in protocol since this case? I hope that something positive can come out of this to help prevent similar hurdles in future investigations. Sending my thoughts to Bertin's loved ones who had to deal with these additional challenges.
