Hi everyone,
I keep thinking about the ripple effect Devon’s senseless murder must have had on his classmates and teachers at Fairdale High. Losing a friend, especially at such a young age, is tough enough, but I can’t imagine how it must feel to walk into school and see that empty seat every day.
I read that Devon was always made people laugh and couldn't help but think about how much laughter and joy the school must have lost. I wonder how his peers are coping with the grief and if they’ve been receiving any support. It must be so tough to process such a traumatic event and keep up with studies simultaneously. My heart truly goes out to them. Does anyone know if the school has implemented any counseling sessions or support groups in light of all this? Support from fellow students can be invaluable during such times, but professional help can really make a difference, especially given the violent trend we’re seeing in the area. If you’ve heard anything, or if there are resources the community is offering that we don't know about, please share. It's so important to lean on one another right now.
Let’s hope that justice is served soon, not just for Devon and his family, but also for his school friends who carry this weight too.
