Has anyone else been following Michael Dean Vos’s case? The part that really stands out to me is how Vos was known for his wilderness survival skills. It makes me wonder if that knowledge might have helped him evade any potential dangers, or possibly complicate search efforts. Sometimes, people with survival training can survive in the wild much longer than expected, especially if they're familiar with the area. Given his experience and love for living off the land, it's possible he might be surviving out there, intentionally or unintentionally. It must be incredibly difficult for his family, not knowing if he’s still trying to live off the grid or if something else happened. Any updates or thoughts on this are welcome.
Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions around the time Michael Vos went missing? I read somewhere that October can have some pretty unpredictable weather in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. If he was trying to live off the land and wasn't fully prepared, it might have been really rough for him. Plus, if he was experiencing dementia-like symptoms, that could've made it even harder for him to handle any sudden changes in weather. I wonder if the search teams took that into consideration during their efforts. Weather can play such a huge role in survival situations, especially in remote areas like that. Just a thought!
Has anyone else looked into the map of where Michael's car was found? I'm curious if there are any trails nearby that might lead deeper into the wilderness or possibly to a location he might have intended to reach. Given his wilderness skills and his interest in living off the land, it's possible he was trying to reach a specific spot. I’ve read that he was familiar with the South Powers and Elk River areas, so maybe there's a pattern to where he liked to go. It’s troubling to think he might have been confused, especially with the concerns about dementia. If anyone has any more info on the terrain or other clues found around his car, I'd love to hear more. It's such a dense area, and it feels like the key to understanding what happened might lie in better understanding the land he disappeared into.
