Hey everyone,
I've been following the Mykel Waide case closely, and something that really stands out to me is the impact he clearly had on his community. Reading about the vigil held at Douglass Park, with his friends and family releasing balloons in his memory, just shows how loved he was. It breaks my heart that someone with such a bright future had his life cut short in such a senseless way.
Also, thinking about his time with the Tates Creek Commodores got me thinking about how his teammates must be feeling. Being part of a team like that creates a bond that's like family. I can't imagine what they're going through right now. If anyone here was a teammate or knew him from Tates Creek, my thoughts are with you. Let's hope justice is served soon, and that Mykel and everyone affected by this tragedy find some peace.
