Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about the role of the community in bringing justice in cases like Devin Eggers and Zachary Stewart's. It’s frustrating to see that even after three years, no arrests have been made. It really highlights how important it is for folks who might have seen or heard something to speak up. Even the smallest detail could make a difference.
Devin was a father of four and clearly a loved person, and it's truly a shame that his life was cut short like this. His kids are growing up without him, which is unimaginable. I can't imagine the pain his fiancée and the mother of his kids must be going through.
I really hope that more people in Louisville can come forward if they know anything. It feels like sometimes people are scared to talk, but staying silent only protects the wrongdoers. This community deserves closure and justice for Devin and Zachary.

Has anyone else noticed how close-knit the Portland Avenue community seems to be? In the case of Devin Eggers and Zachary Stewart, it really hits hard knowing two lives were taken in a neighborhood where a lot of people seem to know each other. I've read that Devin was the type of person who touched a lot of lives, and I can't even imagine how ripped apart his family and friends must be right now. Those poor kids lost their dad, and it's just devastating.
It's infuriating to think that the killer(s) is still out there. This isn't just something you can move on from, and the fact that there's been no arrest must be so distressing for Devin's loved ones. This case needs to be solved for their peace of mind.
I hope whoever knows anything feels compelled to speak up soon. If it were one of my loved ones, I'd be holding onto every little piece of hope for justice. My thoughts are with Devin and Zachary's family and friends.
I’ve been thinking a lot about Devin's kids since I first heard about this case. As a parent myself, I can’t even begin to fathom what they’re going through. Losing a parent is hard enough, but to lose them in such a violent way is unimaginable. I read somewhere that Devin was really passionate about boxing. I hope his kids find some solace in the memories they have of him, perhaps even in the things he loved. Maybe they’ll find strength and resilience in the same way he threw himself into life and sports. If anyone knows of any efforts being made to support Devin's children, like a fund or something, I’d be really interested in helping out. Anything to make this unbelievable time a bit easier for them would be worth it. My heart sincerely goes out to them and to everyone touched by this.
