I've been reading through the details of the Rocky Seibert case, and I can't help but think about the importance of video surveillance in solving crimes like this. It's just astonishing how much of a difference those cameras made in bringing the culprits to justice. It’s terrifying to think what might have happened if these pieces of technology weren’t in place. My heart goes out to Rocky’s family and friends. No peace of mind can bring him back, but I hope knowing that justice was served in some capacity provides them with a little comfort. Also, it's a stark reminder of the violence that happens in places we often feel safe. I hope the community can heal from this loss, and maybe this will lead to some reforms or support systems to prevent future tragedies. Sending love to all affected.
