Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic story of Jihad Powell, and one thing that's been on my mind is the location where he was found. The 6200 block of Shepherdsville Road is an area that some locals have mentioned having mixed feelings about when it comes to safety. I’m curious if others from Louisville feel the same way? Is this neighborhood getting worse, or is this just part of the broader issue we've been seeing citywide? It's incredibly frustrating to think that someone somewhere knows something that could help solve this case. I’ve seen community safety meetings happening, but it feels like we need more boots on the ground or even neighborhood watch programs to keep up with what's going on and help the police connect dots quicker. Does anyone know of similar efforts that have worked in other neighborhoods? Sending love and support to Jihad’s family. I hope they find some comfort and that justice is served soon. If anyone has information, please reach out to the LMPD. Every detail could make a difference. Stay safe, everyone.
