I've been following the Donna G. Lay case and something that's been on my mind is the role of her neighbors in bringing this horrible situation to light. Imagine being the one to notice something's off because you haven't seen your friend in weeks, and then making that call. It's a heavy burden, but it shows the importance of community and looking out for one another. My heart sincerely goes out to the neighbors who had to process this, along with Donna's family. It’s a scary reminder of how things are not always as they seem just next door. How do you all think we, as communities, can better support each other to notice when things go wrong?
