Has anyone else read about Angela Kerr's case and noticed how quick the jury was in convicting Joseph Meredith? Only 90 minutes to deliberate everything—murder, possession of a firearm, and abuse of a corpse. It's both a relief and a stark reminder of how chillingly clear-cut some cases can be. I can only imagine the pain Angela's family went through sitting through that trial and hearing those details. It's chilling to think about Meredith being eligible for parole in just 20 years. Angela's kids will barely be adults then. I hope the justice system has ways to ensure the parole board really understands the gravity of the crime when the time comes. My heart goes out to Alexander and Benjamin. Such an overwhelming loss for such young children. Sending strength to the Kerr family.
