I was thinking about Devor Andre' Stoner Jr. today, and I can't shake the feeling of how truly awful it must be for his family, especially his mom, Shawanda Carter. Losing a child under such tragic circumstances is beyond comprehension. The part about Devor potentially being an informant adds another painful layer for the family. It's hard not to wonder about the extent to which any law enforcement interaction contributed to the events that unfolded. The footage that the LMPD released has added to the community’s discourse—trying to piece together what really happened that day. Plus, seeing more light shed on Antonio Lawson's charges makes everything more complicated. The wait for answers must be excruciating for them, and we can only hope that they eventually find some form of closure and justice. #JusticeForDevor #RestInPeaceDevor
Has anyone else been following the developments in the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Shawanda Carter, Devor Stoner Jr.’s mom? I can’t imagine the pain she's experiencing while trying to seek justice for her son. The allegation that Devor was acting as a confidential informant adds such a complex layer to this case. While the LMPD released body cam footage, I wonder if it paints the full picture of what led to this tragic incident. It feels like the community needs more transparency and answers. I really hope justice is served for Devor and his family finds some peace amidst this turmoil. Keeping them in my thoughts as things unfold.
Hey all, I've been following the case of Devor Andre' Stoner Jr. and something that really stands out to me is the role of body camera footage in these investigations. It seems like the release of footage by LMPD was meant to clear up some misunderstandings, especially regarding the claim that he might have been an informant. It's such a heavy burden on his family, particularly his mother, Shawanda Carter, who is already in so much pain over losing her son.
I keep wondering how much footage can actually reveal. Can it truly provide full transparency? Or does it sometimes leave more questions than answers? I mean, it must be incredibly difficult for Shawanda to go through the process of a wrongful death lawsuit while trying to make sense of all the information that's being publicly released. I hope they find some peace and that the truth comes out in a way that really honors Devor's memory. Anyone else have thoughts on how effective body cam footage is in cases like this?
