Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the case of Jaquarius "Cory" Bettison, and one aspect that's been on my mind is the role of bystanders during and after the shooting. It’s really concerning to think about how often people might witness events like this and choose to stay silent out of fear or self-preservation. I can’t help but feel for his family, knowing there are people out there who might hold the missing pieces to solve the puzzle of who did this to Cory.
It’s understandable that coming forward can be intimidating, especially if someone feels like they might be putting themselves in danger. But at the same time, the thought that the person responsible is still out and about, without being held accountable, must be incredibly painful for those who loved him. I really hope the LMPD continues pushing for any witnesses to share what they know anonymously if needed.
Sending thoughts to Cory’s family, and hoping they get the closure they need soon. If anyone here is in the area, or knows anyone who is, spreading the word might encourage someone to speak up.
I've been thinking a lot about the kind of impact losing someone like Jaquarius "Cory" Bettison must have on his family. Reading about how he was so full of life and loved by those around him, it makes you consider the ripple effects of these senseless acts of violence.
His family has been through an incredibly tough time, and I can't imagine the pain they must feel knowing the person responsible is still out there. It’s crucial that we all keep spreading the word about this case, hoping that someone who knows something will step forward. Even the smallest detail could lead to justice for Cory and some semblance of peace for his loved ones. Stay strong, Bettison family. We're all hoping for answers and justice for Cory.
