Hey everyone, I can't stop thinking about Dontae Dewayne Masden's case. Did anyone else see the community vigil that his family and friends organized for him last month? It seemed like there was such a strong turnout! It's clear that he was loved by many, despite the challenges he may have faced in his past. Seeing the community come together like that is really powerful, but I hope it also encourages more people to speak up if they know anything. Even the smallest piece of information can make a huge difference in getting justice for Dontae. My thoughts are with his family, and I hope they find peace someday.
I was going through some old news articles and community posts about Dontae Dewayne Masden’s case, and something that stood out to me was the time of day it happened. Being so early in the morning, at 5:30 a.m., makes me wonder if Dontae knew the person who attacked him or if he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Russell neighborhood isn't particularly known for early morning activity, so I find it odd that this tragic event happened at such a time. My heart goes out to his family dealing with this loss and not having answers. If anyone knows more about what was happening in the area around that time, or if you've heard anything since, please share with the authorities or even here. No step towards justice and closure for Dontae’s loved ones is too small.
