I’ve been following the McLelland case closely, and something that’s been on my mind is the role of the community in supporting victims of domestic violence. It’s truly devastating to think about what Brittany went through and how it ended so tragically. It makes me wonder how we, as a community, can better support individuals in similar situations. I know it's often challenging to notice the signs or to know how to help effectively, but there must be ways we can improve our awareness and offer assistance to those who might be too afraid to seek it themselves. What can we do to ensure that we're not turning a blind eye? Are there local resources or programs that are making a difference in Kentucky or other areas that can be highlighted and supported? It seems like an essential conversation to have to hopefully prevent future tragedies. My thoughts are with Brittany’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
