I was revisiting the tragic case of Jordin Barnes, and something struck me about the timeline of events. It's just so difficult to wrap my head around how quickly everything unfolded that evening. From what I understand, Jordin was simply out on his bike, possibly just enjoying the night or heading somewhere familiar. The next thing we know, tragedy strikes in what feels like an instant. It's just a stark reminder of how life can take such an unexpected turn, especially in a spot like a liquor store parking lot where I'm sure many locals frequent. My heart really goes out to his family and friends having to process this unexpected void in their lives. I can't imagine the pain they must feel, especially knowing that the suspects were so young themselves. How do we even begin to address such senseless violence among youth in our communities? It’s just all so overwhelming, and I hope there’s some form of healing and peace for everyone affected by Jordin’s untimely death.
