I’ve been thinking a lot about the bravery and dedication of Deputy Petry and his colleagues. The situation they walked into was beyond dangerous, with the suspect so heavily armed and clearly intent on violence. It’s chilling to imagine the chaos they faced as they fulfilled their duty, knowing the suspect was firing hundreds of rounds. I can’t help but feel deeply for Deputy Petry’s family and his fellow officers who had to witness such a harrowing scene. The trauma and loss are unimaginable. It's so important to remember the human side of these tragedies and the immense courage it takes for law enforcement to serve and protect under such extreme circumstances. Deputy Petry’s years of service speak volumes about his character and dedication. My thoughts are with his family and the broader community as they cope with this terrible loss.
