I've been following Stacia's case closely, and something that's really been on my mind is the role her community might play in the aftermath of such a tragic event. Van Lear is a small town where everyone knows each other. It’s got to be incredibly challenging for Stacia's friends and teachers as they process their grief. I can only imagine the shockwaves this sent through her school, and especially among her classmates. It's one thing to read about something like this in the news, but when it happens in your own backyard, it’s a different story. I wonder if there’s been any community initiatives or support systems set up to help the younger kids cope with this immense loss. My heart goes out to her family and those who knew her. Losing a child is devastating, and I hope they find some comfort and strength in each other and their community during this difficult time.
