I read about the devastating incident in Smith Mills and my heart goes out to everyone involved, especially Arianna's family and friends. One aspect that's truly hard to fathom is the chilling reality of those text messages Mason Quinn sent to Joshua Mallory. The courage Mallory must have had to rush into such a volatile situation, trying to protect others, is immeasurable. It’s tragic that someone he might have considered a friend ended up taking his life. While it’s some solace that the investigation confirmed no other suspects, it’s so hard to understand what was going through Quinn's mind to lead to such an irreversible and brutal outcome. I hope the families can find some peace amidst all this pain. Sending all my thoughts to them and the whole community.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the emergency response team's role in the Smith Mills incident. It must have been an incredibly tense and emotional scene, especially with four children involved. Kudos to those brave responders for getting the kids out safely. I can only imagine the emotional toll it must take on first responders to handle situations like this regularly. My thoughts go out to the children and to everyone else impacted. I hope they're getting the support they need during this awful time. How do communities typically support kids in traumatic situations like these? It seems so crucial to offer them the resources to process and heal.

Has anyone else been absolutely devastated hearing about the children who were there that night? My heart goes out to them so much, having to experience such a traumatic event at such a young age. I can't even begin to imagine the impact this has on their lives moving forward. It’s chilling to think about the lifelong effects of being in that environment during such a horrific incident. If anyone knows of efforts to support these kids or any community programs set up to help them process this, please share. They need all the compassion and assistance we can muster.
