I've been thinking a lot about the car in which Thulin and Blythe were attacked. It's such a chilling setting to imagine—an abandoned dairy farm, a seemingly isolated spot far from the public eye. There's something deeply unsettling about the idea of being lured there under the guise of sorting out financial issues, only for it to turn so deadly.
These cases often raise questions about trust and betrayal. Thulin and Blythe must have thought they were just going for a normal meeting, perhaps even holding onto hope that the Jenkins family wanted to resolve their past issues. To not return home from that drive feels like such a heartbreaking betrayal of whatever minimal trust might have existed in that fraught relationship.
I can't stop thinking about how premeditated this act was. The whole setup was designed to be away from prying eyes, emphasizing how the conflict over land and finance can lead to such dire consequences. It's also pretty haunting that this was the place they were led to—a farm that once represented livelihood and hope for the Jenkins family but turned into a scene of violence and despair. The complexities and tensions in dynamics like this remind us of the fragile line between order and chaos in matters of personal and financial history.
