Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Patrolman Michael Hogan and the events surrounding his death back in '89. Something that's really been on my mind is how incredibly brave and composed retail security personnel are, like those at the JC Penney where the incident happened. Imagine being in that situation—detaining someone for shoplifting and then witnessing such a tragic event unfold. It's truly unimaginable. I can't help but wonder how they coped and what kind of support they received afterward. It must have been an incredibly traumatic experience for everyone involved, and I hope they were given the help they needed to process what they went through. It's another reminder of the ripple effect violence has—not just on the family and friends of victims, like Patrolman Hogan's beloved wife and kids, but on everyone who witnesses or is indirect contact with these senseless acts of violence. Sending thoughts and strength to all those affected. What are your thoughts on how we can better support those often overlooked during these tragic events?
