I’ve been reading about Dane M. Whitfield's case, and I can't help but feel for his family and the community. I was particularly struck by the fact that Dane was a youth counselor. It seems like he was genuinely dedicated to helping young people, and it's terrifying to think about how his work might've impacted so many lives. One of the articles mentioned he was passionate about basketball, too. I wonder if he had any specific players he looked up to or modeled his counseling after? It's truly tragic when someone with such potential and kindness is taken so abruptly. Just imagining what his students must be going through right now is gut-wrenching. My thoughts are with everyone who knew him.
