I can't stop thinking about Svetlana's father and how devastating it must be for him. Visiting from Israel, likely excited to see his daughter and grandchildren, only to witness such a tragic event. It's unimaginable. I hope he has a strong support system around him because dealing with something like this, so far from home, must be incredibly isolating. Much love to Svetlana's whole family as they navigate this unimaginable pain. Does anyone know if there has been any community outreach or resources offered to the family to help them through this time? I can't think of a better way to honor Svetlana and Charles than by making sure their loved ones are supported.
I've been thinking about Svetlana's father a lot. I can't even begin to imagine the nightmare he lived through that night. Visiting from Israel, probably looking forward to spending time with his daughter and grandchildren, only to witness such horror. I hope he's finding some support and care during this unimaginably difficult time. It’s heartbreaking that he’s now a witness to such a terrible event and that he'll carry that burden forever. I truly hope that with time, he can find some moments of peace amidst the chaos. If anyone from the community is able to help, that's something we should come together for.
