I've been following the Cunningham case and can't get over how easily the tragic cycle of parental negligence can spiral into such a devastating outcome. I recently came across the details about all the firearms stored in the house, especially the 17 guns in David's room. How could a father not intervene knowing the potential risks? It makes me wonder if this was a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. My heart goes out to Jessica and David, whose young lives were lost so tragically. The community's loss is immeasurable, and I can only hope other families take this as a cautionary tale about the perils of unsecured weapons and the importance of paying attention to what’s happening in their children’s lives.
