Has anyone else been thinking about how rare it is for someone to actually get life in prison with the possibility of parole for something like this? I can't stop thinking about George Pineda and how his life was just getting started. It's such a painful reminder of the fragility of life and how, in a blink, someone can take everything away. I'm somewhat relieved knowing that Chance Adams won't be able to hurt anyone else for a long time, but it just never feels like enough. My heart goes out to George's family and friends as they navigate life without him. I'm hoping they find some sense of peace and justice in this sentence, even though nothing can truly make up for their loss.
