Hey everyone, I found myself pondering the nightmare it must have been for those responding officers on the night Jeryel McBeth was killed. I mean, it was Christmas Day, a time when community and togetherness are at the forefront, but instead they were thrust into a scene of chaos and tragedy. I can't imagine the despair McBeth's loved ones felt, receiving such horrific news on a day meant for celebration. I also wonder about Jamien Stukey, who survived that night. Witnessing such trauma and losing a friend in such a sudden and violent manner must cast a long shadow. I hope Jamien has been able to find some peace and support in the years following this senseless act of violence. Kudos to the law enforcement officers and investigators who acted swiftly and ensured justice was served. It's a small solace, but it's something, knowing that those involved work tirelessly to maintain some semblance of peace during such dark times.
