It's absolutely tragic what happened to Isiah Smith. I can't even imagine what his ex-girlfriend must have felt coming home to such a devastating scene. I've been thinking a lot about the impact these events have on witnesses, especially the child who was seen fleeing with Derrick Blanton. Witnessing something so traumatic at such a young age must be incredibly difficult and could leave lasting scars. Does anyone know if there has been any follow-up or support for this child or the other witnesses? It's crucial that they receive the help they need to process and heal from this incident. Their well-being is often overshadowed by the legal proceedings, but they’re an integral part of understanding the full impact of a crime. My thoughts are with everyone involved, especially Isiah’s family and loved ones, as they navigate this painful chapter.
