Has anyone considered the possibility that wildlife tracks could have obscured Matthew's footprints leading away from his car? It was snowing heavily at the time, and in rural Washington, it's not uncommon for deer or other animals to cross paths with human activity. I wonder if the deep snow and overlapping tracks have made it difficult for search teams to follow a definitive trail. Plus, with the harsh weather, any evidence could have easily been lost or covered up. Just thinking out loud, but maybe this angle hasn't been fully explored yet. ? Anyone with knowledge of track analysis or snow conditions have any thoughts on this?
