I’ve been thinking a lot about the eyewitness aspect of Cortez Bailey’s case. It happened in broad daylight with people around, and yet it seems like nobody stepped forward with detailed information. I can't help but wonder what might be going through the minds of any potential witnesses. It must be terrifying to speak up, especially in areas where retaliation is a real threat, but we can’t forget how crucial their voices are in achieving justice. The fear of speaking out just highlights the pressure and danger this community faces every day. I really sympathize with them, and I hope the vigils and community gatherings can foster a sense of support, making it easier for those who know something to come forward. I truly believe someone out there has answers, and the silence doesn’t deserve to overshadow Cortez’s life and the love his family has for him. Sending thoughts to Miyoshia Bailey and all who knew and loved Cortez. No one should have to live in fear or grief without hope for answers.
