I’ve been following Nia Black's case closely, and what really stands out to me is the tragic randomness of it all. It's so senseless to think that a night that was supposed to be just another evening out with friends turned into this nightmare. I can't stop thinking about the fear and chaos she must have felt in those last moments, trying to escape a situation that spiraled completely out of control. Fields’ history with violence is absolutely chilling; the fact that he's been involved in a shooting at the exact same location before really makes you wonder about accountability and what could’ve been done differently to prevent this. It's infuriating how someone with such a background was still in a position where he could cause so much harm — especially to an innocent young woman like Nia who was just trying to live her life. My heart goes out to her family and friends. They’ve lost someone so special, and the community’s lost a promising talent. I hope they get the justice they deserve.
