I’ve been thinking a lot about Liibaan Baqarre’s friends and family today. It’s unimaginable what they must be going through after such a tragic loss. It's especially difficult to understand how something so senseless could happen to someone just trying to make an honest living. The Cedar-Riverside neighborhood must be reeling as well, losing a beloved clerk in such a shocking manner. I hope the community can come together to support Baqarre's loved ones during this difficult time. It’s a small consolation, but I’m relieved knowing that the suspect, Marlow Carson, was caught quickly and will serve time for his actions. But that doesn't erase the pain or bring back a life taken too soon. I hope there can be healing and strength for all those affected by this horrible crime.
