I've been following the tragic case of Noelle Ness, and something that's been haunting me is the sheer number of shots fired—18 times. It's hard to comprehend such an intense level of violence within a family. Noelle was obviously a bright light in her community, given how people speak about her passion for dancing and her friendly nature. It's devastating to think about what her last moments must have been like, and equally troubling to imagine what might have been going through Joseph's mind that day. Moreover, the fact that so many weapons and ammunition were found in the home raises concerns about gun safety and access, especially when younger family members are involved. I just hope that, in the midst of their grief, the Ness family can find some answers and healing. My heart goes out to them and to everyone in the community who knew and loved Noelle.
