I was reading about the tragic case of Carl L. Putmon Jr. and wanted to discuss an often overlooked aspect of these investigations—the role of eyewitnesses. It’s unsettling to think that such violence can happen in broad daylight with no immediate leads. I wonder if there were people nearby who might have seen or heard something but are hesitant to come forward—either out of fear or simply not realizing they have critical information. Sometimes, even minor details can help connect the dots for investigators. It must be incredibly frustrating for Carl's loved ones to know that answers could be out there, possibly in the memory of someone who just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time. If you were in the area or know someone who was, even the smallest piece of information could be crucial. It's tough for the community to feel safe when such cases remain unsolved. My heart goes out to Carl's family, and I hope that anyone with information finds the courage to speak up. This city needs closure, and we all deserve to feel secure in our neighborhoods.

I am Carl's daughter, this incident was a direct violation of my father's 5th amendment rights. As well as a example of discrimination within the mpls police department. The murderer was actually apprehended the next day his name was Ivan. I was told he confessed to killing my father and told the police it was self defense ( in a state with no self defense law) the police released Ivan, stating " your dad was wanting for questioning in another shooting, and was a repeat offender ( drug charges only) so Ivan committed a act of service."

Has anyone else noticed how quiet the authorities have been about potential witnesses in Carl Putmon Jr.'s case? It's frustrating to read about how many people might've been in the area during such a busy time of day, yet we haven't heard much about anyone coming forward with information. I'm wondering if there's a fear factor at play here—like maybe witnesses are worried about their own safety if they speak up. It's sad to think fear and uncertainty might be keeping justice from being served. My thoughts are with Carl's family; they deserve answers. If anyone on here knows more about how the community is feeling or has heard anything unofficial, please share. It's important we keep his story alive and push for some resolution.

It's really concerning how little information is out there about Carl L. Putmon Jr.’s case. I’ve been following the updates, but it's like there's this silence hanging over it. You'd think with a shooting happening at such a busy intersection, more details or witnesses would come forward. I’m thinking of his family and friends, who must be desperate for answers and justice for Carl. It’s frustrating to see these violent incidents happening so frequently in our community and No arrests yet, leaving everyone in suspense. I hope anyone who knows something finds the courage to speak up. If anyone has more insight or theories on why these cases are stalling, I'd love to hear. Let's keep this conversation going and hopefully bring some attention to the case.
