My heart goes out to Amir's family and friends, knowing that this was how they lost someone they loved. While I understand there's often a complex reasoning behind tactical decisions like this, it's hard not to question whether the risk outweighs the potential benefits. The changes in Minneapolis's policies following this incident signal that there are serious concerns about these practices. I hope this tragedy at least spurs a broader discussion and reconsideration of such tactics nationwide.
