Hi everyone,
I’ve been following Mary "Abbie" Flynn’s case for a while, and something that keeps puzzling me is her last known communication with her son. The timing of everything just seems so crucial. Abbie had that FaceTime call with her son at about 2:40 p.m., where she casually mentioned going for a walk. It was only a couple of hours later when her friends found her home ready for the Super Bowl party but no sign of her. It just makes me wonder about that window of time from 2:40 to 4:30 p.m. Did anyone see her out on the walk? Could she have encountered someone along the way? And why leave behind everything—the phone, keys, wallet, and even her dog? Maybe someone local might recall seeing something back in 2020 that could help. It’s a long shot, but sometimes even the smallest detail can crack open a case. Thoughts?
Anyone else think it's odd that Abbie left for a walk without her dog? I know if I had a dog, especially if I'm just going for a stroll around my neighborhood, they'd be my first walking buddy! The fact that Abbie left her dog at home really makes me wonder if she planned to be gone for just a short time or maybe decided to walk somewhere that felt unsafe for some reason. Could she have been meeting someone or planning to do something that was out of the ordinary? It's a mystery that just keeps nagging at me... What do you all think?
Has anyone looked into the weather conditions around Gloucester on February 2, 2020? I was thinking about how the area can be pretty slippery and dangerous in winter, especially near the water on those trails. If there was any ice or bad weather, it's possible Abbie could have slipped and fallen somewhere difficult to spot, especially if it was around Brace Cove. It's also so strange that she left behind her dog—most people wouldn’t leave their pet if they were just stepping out for a moment. Also, did she usually take her phone with her on walks, or was it common for her to leave it behind? Just trying to brainstorm any possibilities.
