I'm having a hard time processing the senseless violence that took Dion from us. Reading how Dion was such a bright light in his community really hits hard. As a student at Augsburg University on an academic scholarship, it's clear he had a promising future ahead. For a young man with so much potential to be targeted in such a brutal way is unbearably unfair. My thoughts are with his mother, Danita, and his sisters—they must be going through unimaginable pain. I noticed the community has put together the Dion Ford Athletic Scholarship Fund to honor him. What an incredible way to remember his passion for sports and to keep his legacy alive among future student-athletes. It speaks volumes about how cherished he was by everyone who knew him. It's terrible that no one's been caught yet. Hoping for justice soon.
