It's absolutely devastating to hear about the loss of Lamontay Giovanni Brown. Such a promising young life taken viciously, and yet there's still no justice. I was really struck by the sheer number of homicides in Minneapolis in 2022—with Lamontay being the 43rd, it really makes you wonder about the bigger picture here. How can a city work to effectively bring down this kind of violence? Why do so many cases seem to hit these dead ends? If anyone has any insight or information, it could make such a difference. My heart goes out to Lamontay’s family and friends. Nobody should have to endure this kind of pain. Let's all keep pushing to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again.
Hey everyone,
I was just thinking about the role of community in cases like Lamontay Giovanni Brown's. It's been over a year now and still no arrests, which must be unimaginably difficult for his family. I wonder how open the area around Lowry and Aldrich avenues is—are there surveillance cameras from nearby businesses or homes that might have captured anything helpful?
Sometimes the smallest detail can make the biggest difference. If anyone local has any insight into what the neighborhood is like at night, it could really help us brainstorm possible next steps. Maybe someone noticed something odd on that night that didn't make sense at the time?
Hoping we can somehow piece together what happened for Lamontay's family. They deserve answers.
Stay safe, and thanks in advance for any thoughts or info you might have.
Hi all,
I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of community in cases like Lamontay Giovanni Brown's. It’s incredibly important for us as a community to stand together and support one another during these times. It’s so gut-wrenching to consider that someone walking our streets could do such a thing.
I read that even after the search, there weren’t any arrests or suspects identified yet. It concerns me that the neighborhood might have some folks who are scared to speak up, maybe because they worry about their own safety. I really hope someone who might have seen or heard something, even if it seems small, can find the courage to step forward.
It just seems so unfair for Lamontay’s family and friends to not have the answers they need. If we can bring more awareness and make sure people feel safe to tell what they know, maybe we can help this case move forward.
Thoughts go out to everyone who knew him, and let’s not lose hope for justice.
