I recently came across the tragic case of Roy C. Davis, and something that stood out to me was how this chaos erupted during what was supposed to be a joyful community event—a band concert. It breaks my heart to imagine how quickly the atmosphere shifted from joy to horror. His death must have left an indelible mark on everyone present that day. I wonder if any of the concert attendees provided witness accounts or if their statements have been lost over time. It seems like such an important piece of the puzzle to understand how events unfolded. My thoughts are with Roy's family and the entire Winfield community, who had to endure such a grim chapter in their lives. If anyone has more information on witness statements, I'd be interested to hear about it.
