Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the Zenor Z. Wiggins case from Topeka, and something that really sticks with me is the location where his body was found. That alley in the Highland Park neighborhood, just off S.E. Michigan and S.E. Illinois, seems like such a public place. It’s hard to imagine how nobody heard anything, especially considering it's right near two schools. I wonder if those schools' security cameras happened to catch anything unusual that morning.
Having children and educators so close to where this tragedy occurred must have been terrifying for the parents and the school staff. I can’t help but think about how that day might have changed their sense of safety and security – both for themselves and the kids. I hope the community can come together to support Zenor’s family and each other during this difficult time.
Does anyone know if there have been any recent neighborhood meetings or initiatives to enhance safety in the area after what happened?
Stay safe, everyone.
Has anyone else been following the Zenor Z. Wiggins case in Topeka? My heart goes out to his family and friends during this uncertain time. I find it chilling that no gunshots were heard around the time of his murder. It's unsettling to think that such a brutal act could happen so quietly in a neighborhood, especially near schools. The fact that the schools had to go into "secured campus" mode just adds another layer of how impactful this crime was on the community. I hope anyone with information comes forward soon, for the sake of Zenor's loved ones.
