I've been following the tragic deaths of Lisa and Joseph Hill, and something I've been wondering about is the community response in Topeka following these events. Lisa was obviously a long-time resident, and it makes me think about how their neighbors and friends must have been feeling after losing two individuals from their community in such a devastating manner. I've read that small communities like this one have tight-knit relationships, so I can only imagine the collective grief and fear they must have experienced. Does anyone know if there were any local vigils or community gatherings held in their memory? Sometimes these communal acts of mourning can be crucial for healing. ? My thoughts are with all of you who knew them.
