Does anyone else feel deeply for Jace’s mom, Jenna, and what she must be going through? I can't even begin to imagine the pain of losing a child, especially in such a senseless way. The fact that Jace was so close to graduating and had such bright plans for his future just makes this all the more tragic. He had his whole life ahead of him, and it’s devastating that he never got the chance to participate in his graduation ceremony. I really hope that the community comes together to support Jenna and keep pushing for answers. Surely someone somewhere knows something, and they need to come forward. Jenna deserves closure, and Jace deserves justice. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the ongoing impact of Jesús "Jace" Abarca's case on his local community. I recently read about how local organizations in Kansas City, Kansas, are stepping up their efforts against gun violence following his tragic death. It's both inspiring and incredibly sad—seeing people come together for positive change is heartening, but it breaks my heart to know that it’s a young life lost that spurs this action. It's clear that Jace was someone full of promise and ambition; someone who had dreams of making the world a better place through engineering. Not everyone gets this kind of recognition from their community after passing, which tells a lot about the person he was. His mom, Jenna, has shown such incredible strength in her pursuit of justice, and it seems like these local efforts are a part of keeping his spirit alive. I truly hope that these initiatives help prevent other families from experiencing similar tragedies. But in the meantime, it’s crucial that anyone who knows something comes forward, not just for the sake of justice for Jace, but also to support these community efforts. We need to keep talking about this, not just for his family but for everyone who’s been affected by similar losses. Stay safe, everyone.

I’ve been following the case of Jesús "Jace" Abarca, and it truly tugs at the heart to think about the future he was on the road to before his life was cut short. As someone who also had my high school graduation plans disrupted by the pandemic, I can’t imagine how devastating it is for his loved ones to endure not only his loss but also the fact that he never got to celebrate that milestone. Jace seemed incredibly ambitious with his interests in mechanical engineering and subjects like trigonometry and psychology. What strikes me is how vibrant and full of potential he was. His mother, Jenna, describes him as caring and respectful. Losing someone so young and full of promise is tragic enough, but to add the layer of uncertainty with justice not yet met makes it tougher. The community support and calls for peace reflect how deeply this affected everyone. For anyone with even a sliver of information, no matter how inconsequential it might seem, I urge you to come forward. Every bit might help unlock the justice Jace and his family deserve.
