I can't wrap my head around the tragedy of losing someone like Marlon A. Gatlin in such a sudden and violent way. My heart goes out to his family and those who knew him. Something that stands out to me is the proximity of this incident to Argentine Middle School. I'm grateful that the school took swift action to ensure student safety, but it's unsettling to think about how close these young kids were to such a traumatic event. I can’t imagine how frightening it must have been for students and teachers, even with the quick lockdown response. I hope the school is providing counseling or support for anyone who's shaken by this. It’s hard to process something like this happening in a community setting. Sending strength and peace to everyone touched by this senseless act.
