I’ve been digging into Chori Kijuan Lane’s case, and one thing that strikes me is how there’s been no substantial leads coming up over the years. It’s eerie how somebody can just vanish without leaving a trace, especially in an urban area like Oklahoma City. The fact he left during the early days of the pandemic might mean he blended into the situation since a lot of people were feeling restless and acting out of character then. I’ve been wondering if maybe someone saw him and didn’t think much of it, or maybe there were reduced foot traffic and law enforcement presence at that time, which hindered the initial search efforts. Has anyone looked into whether there was an increase in missing person reports during this period? Could there have been any connection?
Hey everyone,
I was just reading about Chori Kijuan Lane's case, and something really stood out to me. It's been over three years now since Chori went missing after leaving home during the early days of COVID-19. It made me think about all the chaos and confusion during that time. With everything being so unprecedented, I wonder if the timing of his disappearance has any connection with the pandemic's effect on teens' mental health.
Did the restrictions make it harder for people to notice or report someone missing? With everyone staying indoors, maybe there weren't as many eyes around to spot anything unusual in the neighborhood. It’s distressing how someone can vanish without a trace.
If anyone's got thoughts or information, even if it seems small, please consider sharing it. His family and friends deserve closure. Let's keep Chori's name out there.
