Hey everyone, I wanted to bring up something that’s been on my mind about Marcus Blackmone's case. It’s been over 30 years, and I'm struck by how important community support is in these situations. The fact that Clay Terrace was so overwhelmed by gun violence at the time makes me wonder if it played a role in the case going cold. I feel for Marcus's family and can only imagine how hard it must be to live without answers. I think it's essential for us as a community to look at how we can better rally together in neighborhoods experiencing similar issues. It seems like the normalization of violence there might have caused significant barriers to finding out what happened that day in 1992. Does anyone know if any community initiatives have been formed in Clay Terrace since then, to tackle violence or provide support for investigations? It would be heartening to learn about any positive changes or ongoing efforts that could help bring justice for Marcus and improve conditions for families like his.
