Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the Eric J. Hunt case lately. Something that really stands out to me is how this tragedy happened on Christmas Day, a time when most of us are celebrating with family and loved ones. It makes me wonder about the impact on Eric's family and friends, who now associate a day that's supposed to be filled with joy with such an unimaginable loss. I can't imagine the pain they must feel every year when this day rolls around again. This aspect of the case seems to reflect a broader issue in Chicago, especially during 2013. It feels like the community was robbed of the ability to feel safe, even during the holidays. I'm curious if anyone knows more about how neighborhoods are coping today or if there have been efforts to specifically address violence that occurs during holiday times. I really hope this marks a turning point where we can push for stronger community bonds to help prevent future tragedies. Sending love to Eric's family and hoping for justice.
