Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about the tragic case of Matthew E. Smith from a couple of years ago. It's one of those situations that just makes you wish there was more progress. It really bothers me that the police haven't been able to release any details about potential suspects yet. I feel so deeply for his family and friends who are still waiting for answers.
For those who might be familiar with the 1600 block of 16th Street, SE, naturally you're thinking about the unusual activity there and what might have been going on at that hour. Maybe someone saw something that night that seemed insignificant at the moment, but could be a vital clue.
If anyone has any insights, no matter how small, or connections to the area, I urge you to come forward. Remember, the reward is there for a reason - to help bring closure to a grieving family. We can't let Matthew be forgotten; he deserves justice just like anyone else.
Stay safe and let's keep supporting each other.

Hi everyone,
I’ve been following Matthew E. Smith's case and was reminded of how important community vigilance is. It’s been so long, and there's still no closure for his grieving family. I read somewhere that crimes like these can sometimes get solved years later because someone finally decides to come forward with what they know.
We often underestimate the power of speaking up, even anonymously. Maybe Matthew’s tragic story can remind us to be the eyes and ears for our community. I would urge anyone who might have seen anything that night or who’s heard whispers since to reach out to the authorities. Sharing what you know could bring long-awaited justice to Matthew’s loved ones and bring some comfort in what has to be an incredibly difficult time for them.
Hoping for justice soon,
